Summary
This committee manages production and delivery of the parish newsletter, website, social media, and arranges events in our community.
The Events and Communications Committee normally meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6pm at Belmont Community Centre, Sunderland Road, Gilesgate, Durham, DH1 2LL.
Meetings are open to the public, and residents are welcome to attend. Opportunities for public participation are subject to the Council’s meeting procedures.

Terms of Reference

To communicate the work of the parish to all residents via a twice yearly newsletter.

To ensure effective, up to date and transparent website displaying all information about the work and finances of the Parish.

To gather input and views from residents on a regular basis to inform future Parish Council activity.

To promote a variety of methods of two-way communication, including noticeboards, newsletters, website and social media.

To participate in appropriate competitions.
